First Work Weeks + Local Travel
Three weeks at Trinsic
I started working for Trinsic, a digital identity company, on August 15th! As with any startup, there’s a lot to be done. I feel like I’ve learned so much just in the last couple weeks. Everyone is super smart and great to work with. Trinsic is a fully remote company, but I’m traveling out to San Francisco tomorrow to work in person with my boss for a few days.

North Conway Weekend
We spent the weekend in North Conway a few weeks ago. It’s always nice to be up in the mountains for some time. We stopped at one of the best ice cream places on the way called Super Secret Ice Cream in Bethlehem, NH where we got an ice cream flight complete with cold brew, honeycomb, blueberry lemon cake, earl grey, maple and mint chip.
I did a quick hike up Cranmore mountain and caught some incredible views from the summit. We also did a river float down the Saco which was a lot of fun.

Beach Weekend with Family
Last week we spent some time in York, Maine savoring the last of the warm weather up in New England. We played games on the beach with my cousins, had a picnic and saw a friend’s band play at a lobster shack. It felt like a quintessential coastal Maine weekend.

Personal Newsletter, Anyone?
Social media doesn’t work for keeping in touch. Despite the quantity of platforms, I don’t feel up to speed with anything going on in my friend’s lives unless I talk to them on the phone, which, for obvious reasons is quite uncommon.
There are dozens of people who I talk to once every few months, or every few years, who I wish I could hear from more. Does anyone else want to commit to writing a personal newsletter twice a month?
Here’s the starter kit:
Make a post on a social network of choice to collect emails
Import the emails to Substack
Establish a few things you think you want to write about twice a month, for example, travel updates, favorite food/books/movies/articles/podcasts you’ve enjoyed recently, work updates, quotes, pictures, etc…
Pick 2-3 to keep it from getting overwhelming
Write a quick post incorporating these 2-3 bullet points
Send it out!
If you’re interested, let me know. I’m thinking about creating some form of accountability that might help a small group get in the habit of writing regularly.
